  • New Feature: Auto Sync Enabled (Yes/No) (Tools>Options>Other). This may help speed up library readyness when the folder it points to contains a very large number of audio files. Manual synchronization is still available from the main menu.
  • Minor bug fixes & Improvements.
*** Version 2.9.4.3 (2012-03-30)
  • Change: mTrax Libraries no longer take into account your Computer Name, only the path of the folder where audio files are located (i.e. C:\Users\<username>\Music). This makes it easier to to move the mTrax database (mTrax.sdf file located in C:\Users\<username>\Documents\TerraSofta\mTrax\_AppData) to a new computer; as long as your libraries and audio files are in the same location on your new machine, you should retain all your previous settings, tracks, sections etc.

  • New, more intuitive, Tempo/speed labeling. Speed is now described in terms of % of the orginal tempo. So now 100% means the original tempo. In previous version, speed was described in terms of % change from the original tempo. So 0% signified the original tempo because no speed change was applied to the original tempo. Using % change meant that a speed slower than the original tempo was expressed with a negative percentage, which could be confusing to some.
  • Sort order applied to Libraries (by clicking column headers) is now saved as part of a library settings.

  • New feature: New column: Miscellaneous Category, an numeric field useful for ad hoc sorting, grouping and filtering.
  • New feature: In a Practice List (as opposed to Library and Smart Practice List), if you manually reorder tracks by drag-and-dropping them to different positions in the list, mTrax will remember their position. Sorting the list again by clicking on one of the column headers will cancel any previous manual track reordering.
  • Bug fix: after manually reordering track or sorting by clicking a column header, mTrax does play songs sequentially anymore. This bug is now fixed.
*** Version 2.7.0.2 (2009-05-16)
  • Minor bug fixes and improvements.
*** Version 2.7.0.0 (2009-05-14)
  • Virtual Track Slicer: create multiple sections of your song while listening to it. As always, creating sections is virtual and does not affect your audio files or create any new files on your computer.
  • mTrax main window (User Interface) Layout saved upon closing. When you reopen mTrax, changes you had made to the UI, such as docking, tabbing and pinning, will be remembered.
  • Changes to Trax Explorer column header size and position are also saved upon closing.
  • Ability to modify Start and End Points right on the section row. A with the Trainer Control, the position of the mouse cursor in the edit box will determine the amount of change when using the controls up/down buttons of your keyboard's up and down arrows.
  • New track position change effects for Section Start and End point Scrollbars in Trainer control: small change= 0.1second (when scrollbar right or left buttons are clicked); large change= 1 second (when scrollbar track is clicked). This replaces the unintuitive percentage changes based on the length of the audio file.

  • Easier row cell update: Prior to 2.7.0.0, it was difficult to edit the cells on a row when the audio is playing in Repeat Auto Play mode because as soon as the loop ended and the section started playing again, you got kicked out of your editing, even if you were not finished with it. One workaround was to stop the audio while editing Trax Explorer rows. In release 2.7.0.0, you will not be kicked out of cell editing when the audio is playing and the section (or track) loops back.
  • xml error log (mTraxLog.log)
  • Bug fix: some users have reported encountering this message on startup:"There is a file sharing violation. A different process might be using the file.". This bug has been fixed.
  • Bug fix: Right-clicking a Trax Explorer row to bring up the context menu makes it active. This ensures that the menu option chosen ( "Add Section', "Trax Recorder," "Manage Documents" etc) always relates to that right-clicked row.
